"James Danoni Dunlap, b. 1809 in Kaskaskia, Ill., then Indian Territory; spent a few years with his uncle Dr. Livingston Dunlap of Indianapolis, Ind.; studied law with Thomas Gibbs of Erie, PA and subsequently was associated with E. Babbitt; elected 1840 to Rep. in Pa. State Legislature and for five years represented the district in both houses. He practiced law in Erie, Pa., and taught in the public schools there for 17 years; author of "Dunlap's Forms," which passed through four editions. He died March 28, 1858; m. May 11, 1853, Marianne Finley Russell, born Donny Castle, North of Ireland, Dec. 12, 1820, daughter of Moore Evlyn Russell and wife Sarah Finley."
