After a protracted illness Lewis Tuttle died last night at his residence in Utica township, at the ripe old age of eighty-four years. The deceased was born in New York, but came to this county, while quite young and ever since remained here. He married twice, both times happily, his last wife surviving him. He raised ten children, two of whom Henry Tuttle and Mrs. Will Eaken have died, leaving five sons, William, Dela, Leonard, Theodore and Isaac and three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fox, Mrs. Retta Fry and Miss Zella Tuttle to mourn his departure. He was a brother-in-law of Col. Fletcher Willey and Mr. C. W. Prather. During his long life he was ever a man of truth, integrity and solid worth standing high in the esteem of his fellowmen, and practicing the precepts of his church, the Methodist. In him one of the old landmarks and one of the best citizens of this county has gone to his long rest, to be mourned sincerely by his family and all who knew him. The funeral takes place tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. from New Chapel, where Rev. Lathrop will conduct the services. The remains will be placed in the cemetery adjoining the church. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Clark Co.
