 Mrs. Mary Manville died March 31, 1886 at Columbus, Indiana, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.S. Arwine. Her funeral was conducted April 1, 1886, Rev. Browne officiating.
 Mrs. Manville was born in the state of New York, her father, Col. Gershom Tuttle, who served in the War of 1812, emigrating to Terre Haute when she was a little girl. She married Sylvanus Manville, Nov. 24, 1835, in Tippecanoe Co., IN, and they eventually moved to Brown Co., IN. She moved to Columbus in 1873. She was strong for one of her age and on last Friday, week, visited several of her friends in different parts of the city, taking sick the same night.
