Note:   Posted on Find A Grave web site: Henry Stone Redfield, fourth son of Deacon Theophilus, son of James, graduated at Hamilton College, NY, in 1833, completed a course of theological study at Auburn Seminary in 1837, and was ordained in 1839; resided, successively, at Lebanon, Columbus, Oriskany, and Lysander, all in NY state. In 1856 he removed to Chestertown, Warren county, NY, where he was pastor of the Presbyterian church. He married, Oct 15, 1839, Mary Emeline Shapley, daughter of John and Catherine Shapley of Oswego, NY. Six children.
 Henry was a veteran of the Civil War, enlisting in the 24th New York Volunteers. Following the war, he and his family removed to Buena Vista county, Iowa.
