Note: The ship's manifest for the 1834 arrival of the "Elizabeth" from Amsterdam to Philadephia lists Gotlieb and Margaretta Wohlfarth with a 4 year old daughter named Elizabeth. A female child of this age is enumerated in the 1840 census as well as 2 females under age 5. Starting with the 1850 census, no daughter born before 1841 is listed. However, an 8 year old daughter named Elizabeth is listed with a birth date of about 1842. Plus, another daughter, age 9 (born about 1841) is listed too. The 2 under 5 year old daughters from the 1940 census and the Elizabeth who immigrated in 1834 do not show up in any other records after 1840. Some researchers have listed a daughter, Rachel Fredrica, as the immigrating daughter but she is not on the ship's manifest and there are no other records connecting that name to this family.
