Note: DELPHOS - Elsie M. Shaffer, 72, formerly of Venedocia, died at 9:35 p.m. Monday at Oaks Convalescent Center. She was born March 6, 1909, in Delphos, the daughter of Garner and
Daisy Harter Bryan. On Dec. 18, 1943, she married Vaughn Shaffer, who died in 1975. Mrs. Shaffer was a member of Olive Chapel United Methodist Church in Converse.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, and two sisters. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, Rev. Lawrence Kirchner officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
