Edwin passed away in his 81st year in the City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret Layton, son George Layton, step-son David Kirby & his wife Louise Hypher, granddaughter Paula, the Kranakis family, and his extended family, friends and colleagues in the U.S.A. and Canada. Memorial service and reception to be held June 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Murray Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
