Note: s not found until 3 days later. The eldest, Thomas,18, identified the body and Elizabeth ("Lizzie" or "Nana") was left to raise the 5 children herself. She converted part of the family dwelling, at 76 Rogers Avenue in Brooklyn, into a boarding house for "Greenhorns", newly arrived Irish immigrants.
