Text: Mrs Ruby Lofton Jones, mother of Mrs Madelyn Dick of Summit, died Wednesday night in Doctor's Hospital in Jackson following a lengthly illness. She was 75 and for nearly 40 years operated Jones' Grocery and Market in Summit.
Services tentatively are set for 2 p m Friday in Hartman Funeral Home chapel in McComb with Dr Dennis Johnsey officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Born Aug 7, 1907, in Pike County, Mrs Jones was the daughter of W G and Grace Lofton of McComb. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Summit.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs Bessie Lofton Neal and Mrs Veta Grace Cothern, both of McComb; and a brother Wilfred Lofton of Houston, Texas.
