Mrs Harriet Clore Bedgood, a lifelong resident of this city, died at 2 a. m. Friday at the home of her son, Thomas Bedgood, in Indianapolis, where she went some weeks ago, expecting to make a brief visit. Complications which followed a severe cold caused her demise.
Mrs Bedgood was seventy-nine years old. She was a highly intellectual woman, possessing a great store of general information, which she gained by an intensive reading of many of the best things which literature has to offer. She also kept herself well posted on the world's news of the day. Mrs Bedgood was a good conversationalist and her friends keenly enjoyed the hours which they spent in her company. She was a member of the M. E. church.
A brief funeral service was held at her son's home Monday, the Rev Mr Dunlevy of Roberts Park M. E. church having charge. Mrs Edwin VanOsdol, formerly of this city but now of Indianapolis, very sweetly sang "Abide with Me."
Mrs Bedgood's body was buried by the grave of her idolized son, Russell Kenneth Bedgood, in Crown Hill cemetery.
