 From David Shiltz: Elizabeth's birthday is also reported as 9 Oct 1794.
 In Toboyne Township, Perry County, PA, from where the Manbecks had come to Ohio, lived John Gutshall and his wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth was the daughter of Ludwig and Elizabeth (Braun) Wirt. In her marriage to John Gutshall she had seven children:

 Michael Gutshall, b 8 Jul 1813, d 24 Jun 1847
 Jacob Gutshall, b 1815 [wife Mary Ann d 28 Aug 1838 age 17 y 4 m 24 d] -- (a Jacob Gutshall m.
 a Ruth Ann Mathias 19 Apr 1838 in Harrison Co.]
 Susanna Gutshall, b 1816
 Catherine Gutshall, b 1818
 Gideon Gutshall, b 1820

  In 1822 John Gutshall died, leaving Elizabeth widowed at 27 or 28 years of age. Elizabeth & children traveled from the home that she and her husband had in what is now Perry County, PA, to the place where her mother lived near New Rumley, OH. Her mother as a widow had married George Shambaugh in 1808, and George took his household to Rumley Township in 1817.
