KANSAS PASTOR TAKEN IN DEATH
The Rev. H.J. Moody, 79, a Methodist minister in the central Kansas area for the past 40 years, died Tuesday morning in a local hospital.
A resident of Enterprise at the time of his death, the Rev. Mr. Moody had been retired from active work since 1942. Throuout his active life in the church, he had been a member of the Central Kansas Conference of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Sadie Moore Moody, of the home; two sons, Dwight Moody of Independence, Mo., and Waldo Moody of Ottawa, Kas. and a daughter, Mrs. Tacy Hanson of McCracken, Kas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Chester A. Miles officiating.

LLOYD MOODY'S FATHER DEAD
Word has been received of the death of Rev. Harry J. Moody, 79, Enterprise, at Wesley hospital in Wichita on December 28. He had served in the ministry 51 years in various pastorates in Missouri and Kansas. He was pastor of the Centropolis, Bethel and Oakland Methodist churches from 1910 to 1912.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Sadie Moody, Enterprise; three children Lloyd W. Moody, Ottawa; Dwight L. Moody, Independence, Mo.; and Mrs. John Hanson, McCracken; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Relatives from this vicinity who attended the funeral services Wednesday at the First Methodist church, Hutchinson, were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moody and Ethel, Mrs. Elroy Kaub, Harry Moody, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pippenger, Ottawa; Mrs. Virgil Christie, Baldwin; Mrs. Clifford Cox, Wellsville; and Lloyd L. Moody, Oberlin, who is visiting his parents. Interment was in Fairlawn cemetery, Hutchinson.

Tacy Mae Moody Hanson: Several of his six brothers did live at Bald Knob., Ark., but Uncle Elmer lived in Ohio and remained there for years.
