  John M. Moody, for many years a resident of Douglas and community, perished in a blinding snow storm last Tuesday when he became lost while in charge of a band of sheep about 14 miles north of Glenrock. Mr. Moody was born near Columbus, Ohio. Forty-one years ago at Ravenwood, Mo., he was married to Miss Pearl Milburn and they came to Douglas in 1896, this community being their home practically all the time since. Six children were born to this union, three of whom, with the wife and mother survive. They are Mrs. H. D. Norton, Mrs. A. J. Perry and Mrs. Eugene Morey Jr., all of Los Angeles, Calif.; where Mrs. Moody, too, has resided during the last two years. Six brothers also are left. One resides in Kansas, three in Arkansas and two in Wisconsin. (Information was obtained from his obituary, mortuary and cemetery records.)
