According to Tacy Mae Moody Hansen (per Lloyd L. Moody): William B. first settled in Bald Knob, Arkansas when coming from the East before the Civil War. Because of his family's northern sympathies, they were forced to move to Eastern Ohio for the duration of the war and stayed for sometime afterwards. Some stayed in Ohio, but Wm. B. moved back to Bald Knob by way of Northern Missouri. He came back to claim the family property in AR.
