 Marty Hale: Its confusing that he goes by both names, and in the 1900 census the handwriting was mis read -- it should be Elmer R.
 I believe among his grandchildren, his name was known to be Elmer, first. His grave stone in the Nova Cemetery in Ashland, Ohio has him as Elmer.
