  The list of children of Evan E. Jones and Mary E. Roberts was taken from the Jones Family Bible which was brought to the United States in 1868; the family arrived in New York City probably from Liverpool, England. The Family Bible was loaned many years ago by Nell "Nellie" Morris Watrous to probably Anna Mae Williams, a daughter of William Thomas and Nellie (Jones) Williams and reappeared courtesy of a Williams descendant at the 2010 family reunion of the Jones descendants held in the Town of Brunswick, Rensselaer County, New York.
  In addition to being a quarryman and mill engineer, Evan E. Jones was also a fine furniture maker. Many pieces of his hand-made furniture could be found in the home of his son Caradawg in Granville, Washington County, New York.
  A picture of Evan E. Jones may be found hanging on a wall at the Slate Valley Museum in Granville, Washington County, New York.
  He was often referred to as "Taid" meaning grandfather in Welsh.
