Sanvidge Funeral Home, Lansingburgh NY The Record Newspaper, Troy NY Man dies in ATV crash Troy resident killed According to a Troy Police accident report, Christie Lynn Jones, 26, was attempting to board her twin brother David's Polaris ATV, when she accidently hit the gas and set the quad in motion in an alley between Fifth and Sixth Avenues near 103rd Street. David Jones apparently tried to stop the vehicle but it spun out of control and tossed him into a portable basketball hoop and through a wooden fence in front of 170 Fifth Avenue. The ATV then continued north, struck a Niagara Mohawk utility pole on the west side of the alley, went airborne, flipped over and landed on top of Christie Jones. NOTE: While David died as a result of his injuries, Christie walked away virtually without a scratch
