a. Note:   His family was split up, and the children were sent to various foster homes. He did not know the locations of the foster homes, although he believed that one sister may have been sent to Long Island, New York. He was sent to Ballston Spa, New York, where he lived for 61 years.
  He was employed by the Village of Ballston Spa until his retirement and was a member of the Eagle Matt Lee Fire Dept. and of the Fire Police Association.
  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes and euchre.
