a. Note:   There is conflict over what Francis' middle name actually is --- Gilbert or Adelbert. I chose to use "Gilbert" as it appears on his WW I Draft Registration Card.
  Funeral arrangements by Hack Funeral Home
  On June 22, 1926 a fire destroyed Francis' and Mabel's home in Mechanicville, Saratoga County NY. Five children lost their lives in the fire. Francis (age 10) went back into the home and saved his baby brother, Seth. Francis (the father) also went back in, but was unable to save any of the other children.
