  Ellery Everett VDP and Anna Mae DeShazer married 24 March 1897 in Jefferson county Kansas, where they had seven children three sons [one stillborn] and four daughters. One daughter is still living out in California. My father Elgar Ellery VDP was the third son [second living] was born 13 April 1909 in Oskalousa Jefferson county Kansas. He married my mother Jewel Victoria Nifong on 29 April 1938 in Yates Center, Kansas. They had one son and two daughters all still living. Anyone interested in this branch of the family can contact me and I will be happy to help. I have all the siblings of Elgar Ellery VDP plus their spouses and children.   Ellery Everett Vanderpool was born and raised on the farm in Jefferson county near Oskalousa Kansas. At 24 years of age he married a neighbor girl Anna Mae DeShazer age 16 on 24 March 1897. They had 45 years together before his death at 69. He and Anna had seven children, Leona b. 1897, Carmen b.1899, Martin b.1904, Thomas b.& d. 03/01/1906, Elgar b. 1909, Gladys b. 1911, Avice b.1919 [still living in California].
