  Paules and Kisa L. Ingle are enumerated in the 1860 Western Division, Post Office Jasper, Walker County, Alabama Census. Her age is given as 33 years and born in Alabama.
  William Dee Ingle indicates in his book that Paulsen's first wife was Kiseah Lovelady, although some family historians list her as Kiseah Holcomb, a daughter of Ham Holcomb of neighboring Marion County. Solomon Lovelady is living 3 households from Paulsen and Kiseah Ingle in the 1860 Census.
  His father, who was almost 10 years old when Paulsen died on 4 May 1891, said that his grandmother Ingle was a Lovelady. Her original gravestone carried the name Kiseah L. Ingle.
  He points out that Kiseah Holcomb was still living at her father's home when the 1850 Marion census was taken on 31 December. Pausen and Kiseah were listed as man and wife in the same census of Winston County, taken two months earlier. Also, their oldest child was born in August of that year.
