Note: His obituary from the February 24, 1927 Republican:
Joseph Cline [sic], a well known farmer living northwest of Danville, died Sunday night at his home. The immediate cause of death was pneumonia although he has been suffering from Bright's disease for two months. His age was 74. He is survived by Mrs. Cline and two children, Mrs. Ada Ware and a son, Earl [aka Albert]. Mr. Cline had lived on the farm, where he died, since 1884. The funeral, Tuesday afternoon, was conducted at the New Winchester Baptist Church, in charge of Rev. McCammack, past of the church at Belle Union. Burial was at Stilesville.
