Note: Robert Dallas Stine, 86, Wooster, formerly of Monroe County, died Dec. 13, 2006, at the West View Manor, Wooster. He was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Jefferson County, a son of the late Ernest Leroy Stine and Georgia Ethel Whitacre Stine. Robert`s mother died during childbirth and he was reared by Ernest`s sister and her husband, Lester and Cora Stine Alexander. He graduated from Antioch High School in 1938. He and his first wife moved to Wayne County, Ohio, where he worked for Timken Company in Wooster. He served in the Army during World War II from 1944-46 and retired from Timken on Feb. 1, 1979, after 38 years. He had a real estate license for many years.
Surviving are a son, John L. (Laura) Stine of West Salem; daughter, Ethel Irene (Robert) Reusser of Woodsfield; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Covert Stine in 1989, whom he married Sep. 2, 1940; second wife, Eilene King Stine in 1993; third wife, Catherine Copeland Stine; and a granddaughter, Kathleen Wilsey in 1993.
Friends were received Dec. 15 and 16 until time of service at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield. Burial in Plainview Cemetery, near Woodsfield. [Monroe County Beacon, Woodsfield, Ohio, dated, December 21, 2006]
