Note: SOURCE: Daily Jeffersonian . . Cambridge, OH . . Jan 2002 . . COURTESY POST ONLY WOODSFIELD ------ Jack S. Amos, 73, of New Matamoras R.D. 1, died Wednesday (Jan. 9, 2002) at his home. He was born April 8, 1928, in New Matamoras, son of the late Arch and Irene Cochran Amos. He was a retired iron worker and a Protestant by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janena Beaver Amos, in 1999, his parents and a brother, Robert Amos. He leaves two sons, Dennis Amos of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Tom Amos of Sardis; a daughter, Jane Kinsey of New Matamoras; a brother, Don Amos of New Matamoras; two sisters, Helen Amos of Summerfield and Ruth Ann Heiney of New Matamoras; nine grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Matamoras Cemetery in New Matamoras with the Rev. Frank Conley officiating. Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, is in charge of arrangements.
