Note: Helen Irene Amos, 79, of Marietta died Wednesday July 27, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 8, 1937 in New Matamoras the daughter of Archie and Irene Elizabeth Cochran Amos. She graduated from Matamoras High School in 1955 and from St. Josephs Hospital School of Nursing. She was a surgical nurse.
She is survived by one sister Ruth Heiney of New Matamoras, step daughter Kathy Talbott and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers Jack S. Amos, Robert F. Amos, and Don Cochran Amos and her life partner Robert "Rube" Talbott.
Graveside services will be held at the Matamoras Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday August 2, 2016 with David Beaver officiating. A visitation or family and friends will be held at the Hadley Funeral Home New Matamoras from 9 to 11 A.M. on Tuesday August 2, 2016.
