  Zelma Fern Streiff, 93, of Centerville, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 13, 1990, at the Centerville Care Center. She was born in Princeton, Mo., on April 12, 1897, the daughter of Thomas F. and Carrie Belle (Mullins) Vanderpool. She was united in marriage to Harry E. Streiff in Princeton, Mo., on Nov. 2, 1919. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1972. Zelma was a homemaker and housewife, a member of: Centerville First United Methodist Church, Dorcas Circle, Centerville Women’s Club and Auxiliary Veterans of WWI. Survivors include one son, Maurice L. Streiff of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wilma Taylor and Mrs. Evelyn Constable, both of Trenton, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Margaret; a son, Warren Duane; two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Burial will be in the Jerome Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church and may be left at the funeral home. (Centerville Daily Iowegian, 15 November 1990)
