Elizabeth Vanderpool McChristian, 92, of Doniphan, Mo., died May 18, 1989, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital. She was a housewife and of the Church of God Faith. She was born Nov. 29, 1896, in Cordell, Okla., and had spent most of the last seven years in Ripley County. On Jan. 1, 1918, she was married in Japton, Ark., to Tony B. McChristian, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1975. Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Lee Vickery of Doniphan; one brother, William Vanderpool of Huntsville; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services were held at 2 p.m. May 21 at the Edwards Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Willie Joe Price and the Rev. Lee Kirby officiating. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. May 11 at the Farmer Cemetery in Huntsville.
