Charles G., age 68, was the son of Raymond S. and Cora (Meadors) Vanderpool. He married Shirley L. Brewer on August 31, 1957, in Monroe, Mi. He served in the US Army from 26 Jan 1954 until 1 Feb 1957. Charles worked 35 years for Ford Motor Co's Monroe Stamping Plant as a light truck operator, retiring in April, 1992. He was a member of the United Auto Workers, and attended Monroe High School. Charles was the father of three sons; and grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of three. He was preceded in death by three brothers,Jimmy, two infants, and an infant sister.
