Note: Dorothy Durgan Thomas of Corvallis died Dec. 29, 2012. (Sept. 12, 1914 Dec. 29, 2012) She was 98. She was a graduate of Oregon State University. She and Marion Thomas were married in 1937 a marriage lasting 72 years, ending at Marions death in 2009 at age 97. They raised two daughters, Janet Schultz of Nevada and Vicki Coleman of Corvallis. Dorothy also is survived by six grandchildren, Mark Schultz, Sandie Fisk, Laura Schultz, Tom Wilson, Dana Bakley and Jason Coleman; and two great-grandchildren, Emilia and Ryan Schultz. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. All are welcome. Memorial contributions can be made to Northwest Hills Community Church.
