Wedding announcement: Vanderpool - Duncan. One of the pretty brides of the season was Miss Ethel Lucille Duncan, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William H. Duncan, whose marriage to Cedric Roy Vanderpool, son of Mrs. Bertha Vanderpool, was an event of July 20 at a simple ceremony performed by Rev. Arthur T. Eaton at Laurelhurst Christian Church. Only immediate relatives witnessed the ceremony. The bride wore a sleeveless gown of white crepe with a head band of brilliants. She carried an arm bouquet of blue delphiniums and shell pink gladioil. Miss Beverly Iwan was her only attendant. Lotus Conser served as best man. Mrs. Marie Hursey, cousin of the bride, presided at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Duncan, 545 East Thirty-fifth street. The bride is a former student at Oregon State College. Mr Vanderpool, a graduate of the Oregon State College, is a member of Psi Chi Fraternity.
