MRS. HENRY WALTER BURLINGAME: Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Burlingame, 75-year-old Oregon pioneer who had made her home in Seattle for the past three years, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday in the Johnson & Hamilton Funeral Parlors. Mrs. Burlingame, widow of Henry Walter Burlingame, died Wednesday. Born near Newburg, Ore., January 3, 1872, Mrs. Burlingame had lived much of her life near Vancouver, Wash. Surviving are a brother, M. P. Vanderpool of McMinnville, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Wohlschlegel of Seattle; Mrs. Dan Gearney of Tule Lake, Calif.; Mrs. C. T. Bartlett and Mrs. Helen Medley, both of San Francisco; a son, Edward, in Oregon, and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (Seattle Times, Washington, Sunday, July 13, 1947, p19)
