a. Note:   George E. Wright, a long resident of this county, died at his home on Rock Creek, in the southwest part of this county, last Saturday, at the age of past fifty-four years. Mr. Wright was born in Clackamas county, Oregon, in 1856, removing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wright, to Morrow county in 1872, where he has continuously resided until the time of his death. During all this time he has been engaged in farming and stockraising, accumulating a competence. He leaves a widow, two sons and one daughter, besides two brothers, A.E. Wright of Hardman, and S.A. Wright of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Gilliam of this city. The funeral services were conducted at the Masonic cemetery in this city Sunday afternoon, by Rev. Walter L. Airheart.
  From his Find-A-Grave memorial: George Evans Wright was born September 13, 1856 in Clackamas, Oregon to Albert Wright and Julia Ann (Barry) Wright. George married Ida May (Green) Wright. She died in child birth. To this blessed marriage was born a child: Harry Ellsworth Wright. After Ida (Green) Wright's death George married Ida's sister Minnie Green. To this blessed marriage were born the following children: Earl Wright and Mable Wright. He passed away October 15, 1910 at this home on the mountain ranch in Gilliam County, Oregon. Family information was contributed by family member Dianna Wright Hoeft and added by Michele Ball. His second marriage information comes from the book, "Morrow County Chronicles" by Morrow County Historical Society.
