Notes
a. Note:   Charles Calvin Vanderpool was born May 26, 1891, died September 25, 1908 being 17 years, 3 months and 29 days old. The funeral services were conducted by this pastor at the Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and his body laid to rest in the Cheyenne Cemetery on the 26th of September, 1908. Charley was always a good boy, quiet and unassuming, yet manly in his bearing and courteous in his treatment of all, both old and young. He was loved by his associates and had the confidence and respect of all who knew him. He honored his father and mother and was subject unto them. During a meeting conducted by the pastor and H.O. White, Charley was converted and united with the Baptist Church at Custer Bend in August 1907. He lived a consistent Christian life and passed away with his trust in Jesus. He leaves a father and mother, J.N. and Rose Vanderpool, three brothers and three sisters to mourn his early departure, but they "mourn not for the dead as those that have no hope" The bereaved family have the sympathy of a host of friends in this hour of sorrow.
