Woody Vanderpool, 49, of Albany, died Friday at Albany General Hospital, He was born in Portland to Wade and Thelma Lucille (Hocking) Vanderpool. He grew up in the Oregon City area. He and his wife Ruth, were married July 17, 1980, in Eugene. She survives. Also surviving are daughter Charlotte Shepherd of Pasco, Wash., brother Robert L Vanderpool of Springfield, sister Sharon Jakeways of Marcola and two grand children.
