a. Note:   Mrs Goudsward said Freeman was listed as a Somerset Co, Freeholder in 1753 &
 rounding up cattle in 1756. Freeman lived in Somerset Co, NJ He was in good
 circumstances. Mary died when Pheneas was a child. Freeman married again, but
 had no more children. There are no more records as the British completely
 burned Somerset Court house during the Revolution. They had two children,
 Pheneas & an infant that died without a name. (Patty Myers, San Antonia, Tx.
 says a Freeman listed in estate of John Runyon & after his name Mary Runyan).
