Note: Civil War vetran. Three years active duty including battles of Knoxville, Missionary Ridge, Kennesaw Mountain among others. Captured by the Confederate army and imprisoned in Libby Prison until end of war 1865.
Married Patience Davidsonshorty after return from prison. They had 10 children two died in child birth.
Became county tax collector and later involved with the County Court system.
He was a Mason of the Royal Arch Lodge.
Blacksmith by trade and built waggonsand coffins in Sunbright. Also postmaster of Glades, Morgan Co. 12 Nov.1868 and Stapleton 6 Mar 1877 (Now Sunbright)
