Bachelor's in business administration, U Nebraska Lincoln 1954. After graduation, Joyce came to McCook to do her student teaching. She continued in the McCook school system teaching High School Business classes and sponsored Future Business Leaders of America for over 30 years before retiring. Joyce was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of PEO Chapter FA, National Education Association, Nebraska State Education Association, McCook Education Association and Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority. She was also a member of the Red Hats, volunteered at the Helping Hands Thrift Shop, and was an avid Bridge player. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them.
