 Farmer. Eldon was raised on the farm and attended Valleyside through 10th grade. He graduated from Ord High School in 1947. After graduation, he was employed by the Ord Cooperative Creamery. He later farmed with his father and continued farming until his death.

Note:   Eldon and his wife lived in the same home for the 55 years they were married, raising their four children there. Eldon was a past president of Valley County Farm Bureau and School District No. 23. He served as a county supervisor and was a member of the Ord Elks Club. He was also an active supporter of 4-H. He was a member of Mira Valley United Methodist Church, where he held numerous church offices and sang in the church choir.

Note:   Eldon never met a person he didn't want to talk to. He enjoyed his grandchildren, spectator sports, golf, bowling, horseshoes, playing cards, music, square dancing, humor, and hunting.
