 Bill owned and operated a ranch 4 miles west of Lusk. In 1940 he owned a grocery store and resided in rural Niobrara County. He was active in the Lutheran Church in Lusk, in the Niobrara County Farm Bureau, 4-H Tractor Leader for twelve years, was a member of the National Association of Conservation Districts, the Niobrara County Weed and Pest Control Board, served as chairman of the Niobrara County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service for 11 years. He died of emphysema and kidney failure.
