Note:   He came to the US with his brother August aboard the Ohio, bound from Bremen to New York (passenger list dated 31 May 1882). He came to be known as William Henry. He lived west of Ord in Geranium Township, moved to Arcadia in 1900, and in 1901 moved to a farm three and half miles west of North Loup NE, in sections 30, 31, and 32 of North Loup township, where he lived for the rest of his life. William and family lived in a sod house for a few years. Then in 1905 he built a home where his great-grandson Billy now lives (1982). In 1926 he also owned half of section 13 in Enterprise township. He died of a stroke.

Note:   GTA gives his age as 16 in 1882. B2A, B3, and B4 give his death date as 24 Feb 1934. MTHOPE, B5, and FINDAGRAVE give his birthdate as 11 Oct 1861. The B series gives his birthdate as 18 Sep 1861. Some sources list his name as Wilhelm Heinrich Vogeler.
