Note:   Ed came to the US in 1883 with his parents and siblings. He operated a hardware store in Scotia, then moved to Portland Oregon, where he worked as a carpenter at the Columbia River Ship Bldg. He registered for the draft on 12 Sep 1918 in Portland. By 1930 he moved to Huntington Park, California where he worked as a carpenter-contractor. In 1940 they were residing at 8469 Zamora Ave., Florence, California. He died of a heart condition.
