Note:   B.S. University of Nebraska, Lincoln, 1915. Gertrude worked as a teacher in Scotia Elementary 1910-11, then graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the State University at Lincoln in 1915. She then taught in high schools in Greeley, Herman, and Scotia NE and in the School of Agriculture at Lincoln NE. She died of multiple sclerosis, from which she was invalided from December 1927. She was a member of the Scotia Methodist Church and was very active in church and community organizations.
