Note:   Z.5 and ZSL give his birthyear as 1781. His age at first marriage (37 years 5 months) in May 1822 gives a birth date of about Dec 1784. His age at second marriage (42) in 1831 indicates a birthyear of 1789, while that at death (74) in 1855 indicates a birthyear of 1781. GEDBAS.5210 and STROH give his birthdate as Feb 1785, apparently based on a misreading of his age at his first marriage as 37 years 3 months. IGI(Batch 732614) gives his age at marriage in 1822 as 37 and in 1831 as 42. A Christoph Strohschein, born illegitimately in Ruhden to Elisabeth Manthey, daughter of the late Christoph Manthey from Ruhden, and fathered by Mich. Strohschein, musketeer in the Regiment Kinitz, was born 25 Nov 1791 and baptized 27 Nov 1791 in Labischin. He married and lived in Ruhden, for a child of his died there 2 Feb 1850, mother listed as Caroline Manthey.
