Note:   Teacher. The March after the death of her husband, Rhoda disposed of the farming equipment and rented the farm. She stayed with Howell's family next door for a while, then went to Tryon to be with Joe and Harriet for a while. While there, she met, and eventually married, Richard "Dick" Stack, who was a widower with 3 children (2 boys and a girl) ranging in age from 15 to 21. He operated a 7700 sand-hill ranch near Tryon and, when they met, was a County Judge in McPherson County. In 1926, the couple moved to a small "ranch" probably somewhere near Highland. After a short time they acquired an orange grove at Fontana, California. Dick died in 1951. Sometime later, Rhoda sold the grove to a local electrical utility. She moved the house and garage to a lot in Rialto, California. Eventually, Ada was her next-door neighbor.
