Note:   John was a Sarpy and Douglas county pioneer and a merchant-farmer at Scotia, Neb. He came to Sarpy county in the late 1860s, settling near Papillion. In 1891 he moved to now what is Two Rivers Farms south of Waterloo, living there until 1917, when he moved to Scotia.
