Note:   On 27 March 1895 he received a Homestead Act grant of 160 acres north of Rushville, Nebraska. He was a blacksmith residing at 1013 S. 20th Ave. in Omaha in 1900, and working for T.F. Stroud & Co. and residing at 4102 Fort in 1914. He was a machinist in a wagon factory in 1920, still residing at 4102 Fort St. He was baptized at First St Pauls German Evangelical Lutheran Congregation Church, Chicago. In 1940 he and his wife resided at the Lutheran Home for the Aged, Omaha. His obituary appears in the 26 Jul 1940 issue of the Omaha World Herald on page 24.
