Note:   Louis came to Lyons Nebraska in 1873 and attended country school for a time. He was confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church near Lyons in its first recorded class in 1880. After finishing school, he farmed, first from 1892 to 1895 at Rushville, Nebraska, then starting in the fall of 1895 in Burt County, Nebraska. They moved to Lyons in 1922. On 19 Sep 1898 he received a timber culture grant of 160 acres southwest of Gordon, Nebraska. In 1930 he was working for an excavation company. He owned 350 acres near Lyons.
