Note:   Johann was a soldier when his brother Heinrich was married in 1853. He worked for his brother Heinrich for four or five years in Lustgarten before marrying. He inherited a farm of 15 acres from his wife's first husband. This farm was sold to pay off a note. He moved to Annadorf, Kreis Schubin, about 1879, renting a farmhouse there. Then in May 1882 they moved to Cielle, about 4 or 5 miles from Bromberg. He moved to Holstein in 1895, living in Süderholm, near Heide at his death.
