Note:   Lydia was confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church near Lyons in 1899. She was a registered nurse at the German Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa by 1910, residing at 512 12th in 1914. In 1916 she lived in Globe, Arizona and apparently took care of her sister Mathilde as she was dying of tuberculosis. In 1920 she lodged on Nebraska Street in Sioux City.
