Note:   Hermann came to the US with his parents in 1881. He is probably the Herman Nehring working on a railroad construction gang in Gales Creek, Washington County, Oregon in 1910. He may also be the Herman Nearing who lived in Meadow Lake Township, Nevada Co, California in 1920, a boarder working in an ice plant, though there was a different Herman Nehring in Alameda County, California in 1925. He resided and deceased in an old peoples home near Portland, Oregon.
